Black Orbs
The Black Orb system in Slayer Legend - Black Mana summons, elemental damage equipment, awakening with black pieces from the Orb of Hope, and reset rules.
Black Orb Overview
Black Orbs are late-game equipment content built around elemental (attribute) damage. Where your weapon multiplies raw ATK, Black Orb equipment multiplies your fire, water, wind, and earth damage - the layer of your damage formula that skills, spirits, and companions all feed into. The system arrived in a later update and sits firmly in the endgame: by the time the game hands it to you, you'll have the soul weapon and awakening systems running already, and Black Orbs will feel like a natural next floor on the tower.
How It Works
Black Orb equipment is summoned with
Black Mana. Each piece follows the familiar structure with an elemental twist:
- The main option matches the equipment's attribute and raises that element's damage.
- Additional options roll smaller amplification lines - elemental damage boosts in the 2% to 7% range across the four elements (plus attack-speed style lines) - with up to four additional option lines depending on the equipment's grade.
Higher-grade pieces mean more lines and bigger rolls, so the chase here is the same as everywhere else in the game: grade first, then good rolls on the lines.
Awakening and Black Pieces
The awakening layer ties the Black Orb system back into the accessory line, and it works like this:
- Only Mythic grade or higher equipment can attempt awakening.
- Awakening consumes black pieces, which you obtain by awakening the Orb of Hope - the endgame accessory.
- If you want your black piece back, a reset costs
3,000 Diamonds - and note that replacing the equipment resets its awakening automatically, so awaken the piece you intend to keep, not the piece you have.
That last rule deserves the emphasis: awakening is an investment in a specific item. Sinking black pieces into gear you're about to out-grade is the expensive mistake this system offers, and the 3,000-diamond reset is the tax for making it. Awaken late, awaken deliberately.
Where It Fits in Your Progression
Elemental damage percentage is a multiplier on damage you already do, which means Black Orbs reward accounts that are already strong - they amplify a big base rather than create one. Practical implications:
- Prioritize the element your build actually uses. If your skill loadout leans fire, fire attribute lines are worth more to you than a rainbow of small ones.
- Relics have elemental damage lines too (Silence Flame, Abyss's Water Drop, Eye of Typoon, Emperor Ring) - your element choice should be consistent across systems for the multipliers to stack meaningfully.
- Black Mana income is limited, so treat summons here the way you treated early weapon summons: steady investment, no impulse spending.
This page covers the system as the community currently understands it - Black Orb content is still evolving with game updates, and if you're playing at this depth, corrections and current numbers are exactly the kind of contribution the wiki needs.
