Promotions

Every character promotion from Stone to Eldenwood with the ATK/HP multipliers each grants, plus advice on when to promote and why the boosts matter.

Promotion Overview

Promotions are the backbone of your slayer's raw power. Each one is cleared by beating its promotion battle, and each grants a permanent multiplier to your ATK and HP - starting at a modest x2 at Bronze and compounding all the way to x42,000,000 at Eldenwood. Because the multipliers apply to everything else you build (stats, equipment, class bonuses), clearing your next promotion is almost always worth more than any other single upgrade available at the same time.

A few things worth knowing before you look at the table:

  • Promotions gate other systems. Several later mechanics key off your promotion rank rather than your level - most notably, awakened latent power unlocks once you achieve the Dragonos promotion, and skill mastery opens after clearing Ether. That's why mid-game guides treat those ranks as milestones rather than just rows in this table.
  • The jumps get dramatic. From Ether onward each rank roughly doubles your multiplier, all the way to Eldenwood's x42,000,000. If a stage wall feels immovable, check whether a promotion battle is available before sinking more gold into incremental stat boosts - a stalled "comfortable stage" is nearly always a promotion you haven't taken yet.
  • Promotion battles are timed boss fights, so raw damage output matters more than survivability - this is exactly what the boss-focused spirit lineups on the Spirit Information page are built for. If a battle refuses to go down, the progression overview has a diagnosis order for finding which system is lagging.

Reading the Ladder

The table below reads as three distinct phases. Stone to Adamant (x1 to x1,000) is the early game: the promotions arrive every few dozen levels, the battles are rarely a wall, and the right move is simply to take each one the moment it unlocks. Ether to Dark Nox (x2,000 to x160,000) is the mid game Andy's guide picks up at - each rank doubles the previous one, the battles start demanding a proper boss loadout, and this is where most players first stall. Blue Abyss to Eldenwood (x320,000 to x42,000,000) is the late game, where the multiplier keeps doubling but the fights are gated as much by the systems that unlocked along the way - awakened latent power, soul weapons, relics - as by raw stats.

When a Promotion Battle Won't Fall

Because the battle is timed, you lose to the clock far more often than to the boss's damage. Work through the levers in order: swap to your boss spirit lineup (Noah, Loar, Sala), equip a burst-focused skill bar with your timed buffs overlapping, check that your class and latent power are not lagging behind your level, and only then go back to leveling ATK. If the fight is close, a few hundred more levels of ATK usually settles it; if you are not clearing half the boss's bar, the bottleneck is elsewhere and more gold won't fix it.
