Spirits

The spirit system in Slayer Legend - all 12 spirits across four elements, tiers and combining, equip slots, upgrades, and the farming versus boss lineups.

Spirits Overview

Spirits are the small floating allies with outsized consequences. There are twelve of them - three per element, Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth - and each carries exactly one skill. But what skills: stopping time, executing monsters below an HP threshold, doubling your gold, doubling your EXP, +500% total HP. A spirit isn't a stat stick; it's a rule change. Choosing which rules apply to your account is what the spirit system actually is.

The catch that governs everything: only equipped spirits provide their benefits. Equip slots are scarce - unlocking the full set of three costs a cumulative 15,000Emeralds - earned from companion advancement battles, which makes those battles even more worth doing promptly. Three slots, twelve spirits, and content-specific choices: that's the puzzle.

Tiers, Combining, and Upgrades

Spirits come in tiers - Common, Great, Rare, Epic, Legendary - and combine upward the way half this game does: three spirits of the same tier fuse into the next tier. Skill effect ranges scale with development: Todd's double-gold chance runs from 10% up to 80%, Ark's time freeze from 4 seconds to 10, and so on across all twelve. Leveling runs deep (the upgrade track goes to level 400) and consumesEnhance Cubes andMana Crystals, with each spirit also evolving visually through 8 evolution stages as it grows (see them animated in the Spirit Viewer).

After Ether, spirit upgrades also feed your skill mastery points, and each companion's late kit boosts their own element's spirit stats. The web, as always, connects.

The Two Classic Lineups

The community sorts spirit choices into two loadouts, swapped per content:

  • Farming: the economy spirits - Todd (2x gold chance), Luga (2x EXP chance), plus killers like Zappy (executes normal monsters below an HP threshold), Mum (skill damage vs normal monsters), and Radon (bonus damage against healthy enemies - which, when you one-shot everything, is every enemy).
  • Bossing: Noah (up to 2x damage in the final 5 seconds - promotion fights are timed, do the math), Loar (skill damage vs bosses), and Sala or Ark depending on the fight (percent-HP burn versus a mid-fight time freeze).
