Companions

The four companions of Slayer Legend - Ellie, Zeke, Miho, and Luna - their elements, skills, passives, advancement battles, and promotion options.

Companions Overview

Companions are the four allies who fight at your side, one per element - and despite the shared name, they play nothing alike. Each companion brings three active skills (buffs that scale to level 100), a deep passive (level cap 1500), a set of later-game locked skills, and their own promotion option pages rolled withDice. Collectively they're one of the largest stat reservoirs in the game; individually they each own a niche.

The Four

CompanionElementSpecialty
EllieWindAccuracy, extra ATK, and enemy HP reduction - the offense enabler
ZekeEarthHP, critical damage, and total ATK - the raw power block
MihoFireDamage resistance, dodge, and total gold - the survivalist and farming economist
LunaWaterMana recovery, extra mana, and skill damage - the engine behind skill builds

Each companion's later skills also tie them into other systems: every one carries a boost to their element's spirit stats and to one soul weapon color's completion effect (Ellie for Green, Miho for Red, Luna for Blue), plus a damage bonus against one of the late-game boss families. The elements aren't cosmetic - your companions, spirits, and elemental damage stack are all one interlocking web.

Advancement Battles

Companions grow through advancement battles - challenge fights with a signature restriction: you fight without using the companion's own element. (Advancing your Fire companion with a Fire-heavy skill bar is exactly the trap it sounds like; keep an off-element loadout saved.) Winning pays out generously -Diamonds,Emeralds, a costume, and a new promotion option slot - and each advancement page multiplies the value of your promotion option rows (page 2 at 1.5x, page 3 at 2x).

Which Companion First?

All four eventually get leveled, so the real question is the order. For most players it is Zeke first: critical damage and total ATK are the two multipliers every build uses, so his levels are never wasted whatever you end up running. Miho comes next for anyone who farms - Gold Rush is a percentage on all gold, and gold levels every combat stat, so it compounds for the rest of your account's life. Luna jumps the queue the moment you build around skills; a bar of expensive actives that sits empty half the fight is a half-strength build, and her mana recovery is the fix. Ellie rounds it out with accuracy, extra ATK and enemy HP reduction - the levers you reach for when a boss wall is about damage getting through rather than damage dealt.

The Growth Economy

Companion power comes in two currencies with very different price tags. Active skills level to 100 on attribute stones and are cheap enough to keep topped up as you go. Passives climb to 1500 on the same stones plus emeralds, and emeralds also buy spirit equip slots - so a passive competes with your spirit infrastructure for the scarcest material you have. The enhancement guide covers the supply lines; the short version is skills first, passives as a steady drip, and advancement battles the moment they are winnable, because they pay the emeralds, the option slots and the page multipliers all at once.
