Companion Builds
How to build the four companions in Slayer Legend - roll priorities, leveling order by playstyle, and how companions slot into farming and bossing setups.
Building Your Companions
Here's the liberating thing about companion builds in Slayer Legend: you don't pick a companion. All four of them - Ellie, Zeke, Miho, Luna - contribute simultaneously, so "building companions" really means deciding where your limited stones, emeralds, and dice go first. The build is a budget. This page is the budget meeting.
Rolls: The Settled Question
For promotion options, the community consensus is old and stable: full pages of max-roll Extra ATK, on every companion. ATK multiplies through everything, the roll ranges scale with rarity up to the blue-tier maximums, and the advancement page multipliers (1.5x on page 2, 2x on page 3) make those same rolls progressively more valuable. The one sanctioned exception: if your skill build runs out of mana mid-fight - the classic symptom is Fulgurous going quiet - swap in one or two mana recovery rolls and the problem usually vanishes.
Could you theorycraft alternatives - crit damage rolls, monster gold on a farming account? Sure, and Monster Gold on Miho's pages is a defensible luxury for a dedicated farming economy. But dice are scarce, rerolls are expensive, and Extra ATK never stops being correct. At Ether promotion you unlock the max-roll option - 40,000 dice to set a companion's entire page to maximum values - which is the endpoint the whole system points toward. Save toward it; it converts the roll casino into a purchase.
Leveling Order by Playstyle
The generalist (most players): Zeke's Lunatic and Blade Dance first - crit damage and total ATK carry every kind of content. Ellie's Blessing of Forest and Intensive Fire next, because damage you can't land isn't damage. Then broaden.
The farming economy: Miho's Gold Rush takes the crown - total gold compounds into every stat level you'll ever buy. Pair it with the gold spirits (Todd especially) and the gold-farming stack, and treat Luna's mana kit as the thing keeping your AoE bar firing through eight-monster waves.
The skill-build enthusiast: Luna, Luna, Luna. Wisdom of War multiplies the entire active bar, and her mana pair is the infrastructure your build stands on. Ellie's accuracy still matters (a missed nuke is an expensive miss), and Zeke catches up when bosses demand burst.
The wall-breaker: stuck on a promotion? Shift levels toward survival - Zeke's Fortitude, Miho's Shadow Step and Shadow Dance - and remember the promotion battle is a timed fight where staying alive is half the DPS check.
Two Traps Worth Naming
First: don't neglect advancement battles because the element restriction is annoying. Fighting without Zeke's Earth passives or your Fire damage core feels bad for one battle - and gates emeralds, option slots, and page multipliers you'll enjoy for the rest of the account. Keep one off-element preset per element and the whole issue disappears.
Second: don't spread dice thin across all four companions early. Concentrated pages on the companions your playstyle leans on beat a light dusting everywhere - the page multipliers reward depth, and you can always broaden after Ether's max-roll unlock changes the economics.
