Your First Steps
What to do in your first hour of Slayer Legend - guide quests, spending gold, learning skills, and your first promotion battles.
Your First Hour
Your Slayer fights by themselves. That is the whole premise - you are not tapping enemies, you are managing growth. So your first hour is really about learning where the growth levers are and pulling the right ones. The good news: the early game is very forgiving, and almost nothing you do in the first days is permanent. Relax and enjoy it.
Follow the Guide Quests
The quest tracker on your screen chains you through every early unlock, and each completed quest pays out - including
Diamonds, the premium currency you'll want for summons later. Just follow the chain. It is genuinely the fastest way through the early game, and it introduces each system right as it unlocks.
Spend Your Gold - Don't Hoard It
Monsters drop
Gold, and gold levels your combat stats. Attack (ATK) is king early - it is what pushes you through stages - with HP and HP Recovery leveled enough to survive bosses. There is no reason to sit on a pile of gold in the early game; its value only goes down as stage costs scale up. Pump it into ATK and keep moving.
Learn and Equip Skills
Almost immediately the game starts handing you skills - Fire Slash, Ice Stone, Lightning Slash, Stone Strike and friends all arrive within your first few character levels. Actives cost MP and deal burst damage; passives (like Earth's Will) buff you permanently while equipped. Equip a full bar as soon as slots open up, and turn on the Auto skill toggle so they actually get used while you idle. You'll refine your build much later; for now, more damage is more damage.
Take Your First Promotions
Every so often the stage wall stops being about your stat levels and starts being about your promotion rank. Promotions are one-off boss battles that multiply your ATK and HP permanently - Bronze doubles both, and the multipliers snowball from there. The first one is recommended around level 50, the next around 90, then 180. If the promotion battle beats you, farm a little more gold, level ATK, and come back. It's not going anywhere.
Before You Log Off
Two quick things. First, claim your daily login rewards and watch the free ad buffs if you can stomach them (they are worth it - more on that in the farming guide). Second, make sure your account is linked. The game keeps earning gold, EXP, and materials while you are away, so there is no pressure to grind - check in, spend what accumulated, push a few stages, repeat.
When you're ready for the bigger picture, the Early Game Roadmap lays out the milestones from here to the mid game.
