Leveling Guide
Where EXP comes from in Slayer Legend, every level milestone that matters, and how to level efficiently from early game to late.
Why Levels Matter
Your character level is quieter than promotions or equipment - no flashy multiplier attached - but it gates a surprising amount of the game. Levels grant growth points to allocate across your stats, promotions list recommended levels, and several whole systems simply will not open until you hit their level requirement. EXP is the slow current underneath everything else; you want it flowing at all times.
Where EXP Comes From
- Killing monsters - the baseline. EXP per kill scales steeply with stage, which is the main reason pushing stages beats over-farming low ones.
- Idle rewards - the game keeps earning EXP while you're away, scaled to your highest stage.
- Extra EXP bonuses - an Extra EXP roll on your promotion abilities or companion promotion options, and the spirit Luga (10-80% chance to double EXP gains) all compound your rate. Small percentages, huge lifetime value.
- The training dummy - once the Training Diary unlocks at level 400, finishing your session against Sepir lets you keep training against the dummy for straight EXP, up to three times daily.
- Hot Time - weekend events double gold and EXP. If you're going to push levels hard, do it on a weekend.
Milestones Worth Knowing
| Level | What Unlocks |
|---|---|
| 100 | Character rename becomes available. |
| 250 | The Class system (together with reaching stage 120) - a major permanent multiplier. |
| 400 | The Training Diary - daily sessions with Sepir granting Over Points and raised stat caps. |
| Every level | Growth points to allocate to combat and miscellaneous stats. |
| Every 100 levels (post-400) | Additional Over Points and higher Over Point caps via the diary. |
Promotion recommended levels also march upward in lockstep - roughly level 50 for Bronze, 90 for Iron, 180 for Silver, 300 for Gold, 450 for Mithril, and climbing to 1000 for Ether and 3000 for Gigarock. The Promotions page has the complete table.
Leveling Efficiently
Early on, don't overthink it - EXP arrives as a by-product of playing. The optimization conversation starts mid-game, and it comes down to a handful of habits:
- Farm at your highest comfortable stage. EXP per kill scales with stage number, so a stage you clear quickly and safely beats a higher one where you struggle. Kill speed times EXP per kill is the actual number you're maximizing.
- Stack your EXP modifiers before long sessions. Hot Time weekend + ad scroll buffs + Luga equipped + Extra EXP rolls, then farm actively. The multiplication across all of them is dramatic compared to naked idling.
- Never waste dummy sessions. Post-400, the three daily dummy trainings are free EXP that doesn't depend on your farming stage at all.
- Let idle time work at height. Before logging off, make sure you're parked at your highest farmable stage - idle EXP is calculated from it.
The honest summary: leveling in Slayer Legend rewards patience and stacking, not grinding heroics. Set up your multipliers, park yourself high, show up for your dailies... and the levels take care of themselves.
